Veteranul Anthony Hopkins a fost desemnat cel mai bun actor în rol principal graţie interpretării rolului unui bărbat afectat de demenţă în pelicula „The Father”. Premiul pentru cel mai bun film britanic a fost obţinut de „Promising Young Woman”, o poveste despre răzbunare în epoca #MeToo, peliculă premiată şi în categoria „cel mai bun scenariu original”. Philip a fost primul preşedinte al BAFTA, în 1959.
